So we rock up to a new restaurant, hoping for a pleasant experience but basically we were meeting up with our son for lunch so that was the main thing. We walk in and see a large Día de los Muertos (Mexican festival: day of the dead) picture on the wall and the receptionist in kinda Frida Kahlo mode and with a big red blossom in her hair. [Fortunately, no monobrow. 😉 ] .
I say “Hey Frida, you look so lovely today – may I take your picture?”  She smiles, says “sure, why not” and hunkers down for a head on arms pose on the counter. Click, click, snap & viola.

We realize later that all the female staff wear the blossoms in their hair, so obviously more images are made in between the excellent food and Mexican beer. If it isn’t blatantly obvious, the restaurant is called Mexico and worth a visit.

More blossoms in the hair and a whole bunch of Mexican motifs

Btw: A beautifully review of Mexico (that I just discovered 5 mins ago) is here: www.TheUnbearableLightnessOfBeingHungry.com  – it’s written much better, in a foodie style, than I could manage atm.
